Arctic & Beyond with Aurora Expeditions:
'Natural Treasures of Costa Rica'

Mysterious. Exciting. Memorable.

Andrew Wells

Costa Rica, meaning ‘rich coast’, is a nature lover’s paradise. While it is a small country, Costa Rica contains approximately 6 per cent of the world’s biodiversity. The country has environmental conservation policies in place, roughly a quarter of the country is made up of protected jungle, and we are incredibly fortunate to explore the region on land and sea.

✓ Observe unique wildlife, like the marbled wood quail, toucans, spider monkeys, iguanas, sloths and perhaps the rare and endangered scarlet macaw.

✓ Hike in wildlife-rich forests, led by expert local guides.

✓ Learn about the conservation efforts of Costa Rica as they continue to protect their precious corner of the earth.

✓ Pack your binoculars and spot an exquisite array of wildlife while hiking or participating in our included water activities.
