ANTARCTICA
The frozen continent

Antarctica. The only continent with no permanent human residents. The perfect makings for one of the world's greatest adventures.

When you think of expedition cruising you might not initially think of HX (short for HX Expeditions). However, as I recently learned, everyone should: in fact, they are the original expedition cruise line. They have been guiding curious travelers on mindful adventures since 1896. (Today, more travelers go with them to the far reaches of the globe than other expedition company.)

As the leader, they are the experts in the quintessential expedition destination, Antarctica—a vast realm of glaciers, ice fields, and soaring white peaks, where penguins roam undisturbed and whales carve through subzero waters.

Setting foot on Antarctica is a dream for many of my clients, but reality for few. Take a look below and let me know if you are interested in being one of those few. I highly recommend it! I'm here to help!

Rest & relaxation

After hours of trekking over ice and sailing frozen seas, thawing out in our sauna or relaxing in our spa are two perfect ways to celebrate a day well spent. All ships include an outdoor hot tub and have a pool, while others offer massages and beauty treatments. All well-deserved and welcome before the next day’s adventures.

Feed your curiosity, with our onboard Science & Education Program

An expedition to Antarctica is bound to inspire your curiosity and our Science & Education Program allows you to dig deeper.

At HX Expeditions, we have over 20 years of experience supporting the study and research of Antarctica. We work with universities, scientists and organizations to facilitate world-leading research, from the impact of climate change to the migratory patterns of marine life. We even contribute meteorological observations as part of our partnership with NASA.

When you join an HX expedition, you’re welcome to be led by your own curiosity. Experts will join us to give lectures or workshops, there’ll be opportunities to contribute to Citizen Science Projects and you can spend time in the Science Center to examine samples and find out more about everything you’ve seen and experienced.
