In Cartagena uncover the layers of civilization that stretch back here to 220BCE, including a Roman amphitheater. Barcelona → Civitavecchia (Rome)
You’ll glide across the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean on this cruise, picking out some of the region’s jewels as you go. From the lively city of Barcelona, you’ll cross the French border to Toulon for fine sands and fine art. Glamorous Monte Carlo follows – can you resist a throw of the dice in the famous casino? Then, it's onwards to Italy and Livorno in Tuscany, gateway to Florence’s cultural riches and the vineyards of Chianti. Civitavecchia (Rome) → Fusina (Venice)
Wave goodbye to Rome and set sail from Civitavecchia on a short tour that ticks off four countries – Italy, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia. Sorrento is the first port of call, heady with the scent of its lemon trees, then Siracusa on Sicily, to explore the delightful old town, with its ancient Greek and Roman ruins. Now relax and enjoy all that the ship has to offer on a sea day. Arriving in Greece on the lush, green island of Corfu, you can enjoy beaches galore and good walking along the pine-fringed cliffs.
