Award-winning poet and author Joy Harjo of Muscogee (Creek) Nation served as the 23rd Poet Laureate for the United States from 2019 to 2022. She was the first Native American to hold the position and only the second person to serve three terms in the role. She has published nine books of poetry and two memoirs. She will share her stories and provide perspective on indigenous groups of the Pacific Northwest.
