Follow the water. Discover what follows.
Deep in Botswana’s Kalahari, seasonal floodwaters transform the Okavango Delta into a mosaic of channels, islands and floodplains. As the water shifts, so does the wildlife, and the delta takes on a different character with every season.
For travellers curious about more than the sighting itself, the Delta rewards looking closer. Follow fresh tracks on a game drive, read the smaller signs of the bush on foot or glide quietly through the reeds in a mokoro. You may come for the wildlife, but often it is the quieter moments that stay with you: a guide sharing the use of a plant you might otherwise have passed, the splash of a paddle in still water or a bird calling somewhere beyond the reeds.
