An alliance of unprecedented discovery

When travelers and trailblazers come together, something extraordinary happens. In alliance with The Explorers Club, PONANT EXPLORATIONS introduces a new era of guest enrichment—pairing intimate voyages with the insight of those who’ve helped redefine exploration itself.

On board select journeys, guests will travel alongside members of The Explorers Club—mountaineers, underwater photographers, conservationists, and others whose work has shaped how we see the world. Their presence transforms each destination into a living story. They bring a depth of knowledge of place and purpose. They’ve lived among remote communities, led research in polar extremes, and studied species still unknown to most of the world. Each brings a unique perspective shaped by years of fieldwork and a relentless curiosity.

These voyages span the farthest corners of the planet—from Antarctica to the Kimberley, the North Pole to the Cook Islands—and invite a deeper connection to each destination. Through an onboard lecture series, engaging conversations, and immersive excursions, guests will engage with the world’s last frontiers in a way few ever do—gaining insights from those who've dedicated their lives to exploring them.

BE PART OF HISTORY WITH THE EXPLORERS CLUB

The Explorers Club was founded in New York City in 1904 by a group of the world's leading explorers of the time. It is a multidisciplinary, not-for-profit organization dedicated to scientific exploration of land, sea, air, and space. It supports science research and education and has over 3,750 members around the world. In its history, the Club’s members have been responsible for an illustrious series of famous firsts: first to the North Pole, first to the South Pole, first to the summit of Mount Everest, first to the deepest point in the ocean, first to the surface of the Moon. Explorers linked to the greatest discoveries, such as Neil Armstrong, Jane Goodall, Edmund Hillary, and Roald Amundsen, are among its eminent members.
